  • Harvesting of borer infested berries, if present and treat them with hot water, Spot spray with endosulfan especially in the case of robusta.
  • Drench the soil with Bavistin 50 WP 0.4%@3 It /plant (24 g/3 It) in the just wilting stage second application. It should be followed by F.YM or compost @ 10 kg/plant once in 2 or 3 years.

  • Regulation of dadap shade
  • Post-monsoon spraying with 0.5% Bordeaux mixture against leaf rust.

Estate : Harvesting and processing of arbica will continue. Arabica parchment may be correctly processed acid dried to 16 kg / for lit and stored in clean gunnies for transport to curers. Fire path cleaning may be taken up. Liming may be done wherever necessary.

Nursery : Overhead pandal may be erected over secondary bed nursery to prevent sunscorch and incidence of cercospora. Jungle soil, cow dung and leaf litter may be collected for compost pits and for preparation of germination beds and to raise basket / polythene nursery.

Pests : Supplies and young plants are to be examined for bug attack and given a chemical spray as follows:

i) 80 ml of Lebaycid 1000 or 120 ml of Ekaiux 25 EC or 120 ml of Metacid 50 EC in 200 litres of waterfor green scale and

ii)150 m. of Lebaycid 1000 or 300 ml of Ekaiux 25 EC in 200 liters of water for mealy bugs.

Hairy caterpillars may be collected and destroyed. If warranted Ekaiux 25 EC at 320 ml or Metacid 50 EC at 160 ml or sumithion 50 EC at 240 ml in 200 litres of water with suitable wetting agent may be sprayed to coffee plants.

North East Monsoon Areas : Susceptibily coffee may be sprayed with 0.5% Bordeaux mixture or 0.03% a.i. of Plantvax 20 EC along with urea at the rate of 1 kg / barrel (200 liters. Selective felling of trees may commence a new clearings.
