Coffee Board organized a one day programme on "On Farm Training" at Hnahithial village, Lunglei District, Mizoram State with the assistance of Pu. Ramthianghlima, Soil Conservation Demonstrator (S.C.D) of the Soil & Water Conservation Deptt. Zobawk Range, Govt. of Mizoram, Lunglei District. Pu. Ramthianghlima is one among the 7 S.C.Ds trained at TEC, Bualpui and CCRI during April 2008. About 24 beneficiaries attended the training programme.

Pu. Ramthianghlima explained and demonstrated various cultural operations to the growers in local language and the beneficiaries who participated in the programme interacted very well with the officers. Though borer infestation was not visible in the field the process to identify a borer infested plant was explained to the growers.
