Coffee Board Participates in Tea and Coffee
Asia World Cup 2006 Shanghai, China


Coffee Board participated in the Tea and Coffee Asia World Cup Exhibition and Symposium held in Shanghai, China from 26th to 2Sth September 2006. The Tea and Coffee Asia World Cup is the world's leading trade fair for all sectors of the tea and coffee industries, from established leaders in all fields of production. manufacturing, packaging and distribution to innovative entrepreneurs: from government and trade associations and international traders and brokers to single origin specialty suppliers and packers: from turnkey factory solutions to wholesale and retail accessories: and much more. The first international lea and coffee event held in China, which is an ancient and prolific tea producer and consumer and latest-rising star in the coffee firmament.

The Board had put up an impressive stall displaying the different exportable grades of coffee, colour blow-ups on various aspects of Indian coffee along with literature on coffees of India. which attracted large number of coffee Consumers and traders. All the visitors, served with brewed coffee prepared out of six grades of special Indian coffee viz., Arabica Plantation, Arabica Cherry, Robusta Parchment, Robusta Cherry. Monsooned coffee and Robusta Kaapi Royale. All the coffee consumers without any exception appreciated the coffee prepared out of Indian coffee especially Indian Arabica Plantation. and also the special blends with Monsooned coffee and Robusta Kaapi Royale.

Tata Coffee Limited and 1-lindustan Food & Beverages are the notable exporters o f coffee who participated in the show and displayed their coffee samples at Board's stall.

Sri. Vishnu Prakash, Consulate General of India, Shanghai, Sri. P.K. Sukla, Commercial Officer, Consulate General of India, Shanghai. Sri. Basudeb Banerjee. Chairman, Tea Board of India. Ms. Sunalini Merton, Coffee Lab Pvt Ltd. Bangalore also visited our stall. Several trade enquiries from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Canada, Philippines and Italy were received during our participation.

Dr. D.R. Babu Reddy, Agricultural Economist, Coffee Board organized and conducted the participation of the Coffee Board at the event.
